Drone & Aerial Surveys

Deeper insights with with Drone & Aerial Surveys

Historically, the costs associated with high-level inspections have been a barrier for property owners, often surpassing the expense of the specified repairs. Traditional methods involving scaffolding, cherry pickers, harnesses, and safety ropes were expensive and time-consuming. However, thanks to modern technology, we offer a better and more cost-effective using our state of the art drones.

Our Drone & Aerial Surveys utilise cutting-edge drone and camera technology to conduct swift, efficient, and effective inspections. With no access restrictions, our drones capture high-quality images of your roof, chimneys, and other structural elements from various angles within minutes. Unlike traditional inspections, there are no protracted delays awaiting safety equipment, and we deliver most reports on the same day.

At Henderson Building Surveyors, we go beyond the ordinary. All our RICS Level 3 - Building Surveys include drone inspections as standard, at no extra cost. Considering a standard aerial inspection can start at £250, this inclusion provides substantial savings. It ensures a higher standard of service, surpassing the limitations of ground-level views.

Why have a drone survey?

Consider the two images below. The first, taken from ground level, represents the perspective of traditional building surveys and homebuyer reports. However, this limited view poses a risk of overlooking hidden problems. In contrast, the second image, captured by a drone from approximately 12 meters up, reveals a significant defect – a mud-filled valley forming an unintended garden. The survey identified this issue, estimating rectification costs under £1000. Left unaddressed, the risks would escalate, including moisture ingress, lead replacement, slate degradation, internal plasterboard damage, redecoration costs, and potential defects impacting neighbouring properties.
